Nicaragua blessings unfold...

This is Mia with her new Bible and the Evangecube that made its way home to the USA via Shawn's backpack. He looked for this three times in the airport to hand out , but it wasn't there. The Lord had other plans for that little tool of the Gospel. It was meant for a little girl who would pray for Jesus to come live in her heart right before she went to sleep Thursday night.
Please read the following letter from our pastor, which was given to us at Mia's baby dedication.
Dear Mia Ellen,

Today [Thursday, May 15] is the day many of us have prayed for ever since we met you. Today you prayed to receive Jesus as your personal Savior and Lord. The decision you made today is the most important decision you will make in your life.

On Sunday, May 11, 2003, your parents brought you to the front of Thompson Station Church and stood before the congregation as they made a commitment to the Lord to bring you up in a godly home. On this day, we prayed for you that God would keep His hand on your life. We prayed that He would grow you strong physically and spiritually. We, your "faith family" at Thompson Station Church, promised to encourage you, teach you, and partner with your parents in leading you to understand that God loves you and wants to have a personal relationship with you. And now, we have the opportunity to rejoice with you as you have received Jesus Christ as your Savior, and have begun that wonderful personal relationship with God.

Please understand that your decision means that God has forgiven you of your sins. Jesus Christ now lives in your heart through the person of the Holy Spirit. You are a part of the family of God. If you are still attending TSC, you are now a part of our "faith family." If you are attending somewhere else, you are now a part of that loving family of God.

Now that you are a Christian, I want to encourage you to continue growing in Christ. The New Testament teaches us that our life's goal is to become more like Jesus. Let me encourage you to read your Bible every day. Talk to God about anything and everything. He is interested in how you feel and what you are doing. Tell others who Jesus is, and what he means to you.

We have prayed for you all through the years, and we will continue praying for you now that you have made this commitment to Jesus. I pray God will continue to reveal Himself to you as you become all that He planned for you to become. I pray that many people will know Jesus because of your life and witness.

Sincerely,
Pastor Tom

We love you, Mia. We are excited to see how the Lord uses you and your sweet heart in the days and years to come.
Mia will be baptized on Sunday, June 1. Please join us in worship and celebration if you can!
