We had a great time last night with our good buddies down the road ("Checkers Family"). We had WAY too much food for two families but had such a good time celebrating the new year. We even had a chance to introduce AC and JC to good ol Southeast TX boudain (or houdain as JC called it).
Dinner tonight is our traditional black eyed peas and cabbage with homemade cornbread.

ooh, i missed the new years dinner! I made peas but still not ready to make the cabbage on my own. That is mama's job. I was also out of milk so no cornbread. I told ryan well i hope by eating the peas we will have better luck this year!
